Pendeza is excited to announce our partnership with the Ministry of Health and Common Thread, in collaboration with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, to launch Call for Change ambassadors – a groundbreaking network of local organizations committed to driving social and behavior change in healthcare across Kenya.

The Need for Change

In Kenya, access to quality healthcare remains a significant challenge for many communities. Despite efforts to improve healthcare services and outcomes, barriers such as limited awareness, cultural beliefs, and socioeconomic factors continue to hinder progress. Recognizing the urgent need for change, Pendeza, along with our esteemed partners, has come together to address these challenges head-on through the Call for Change initiative.

A Collaborative Approach

Call for Change brings together a diverse coalition of local organizations, each with unique expertise and insights into community healthcare needs. By harnessing the collective power of these organizations, along with the support of the Common Thread, Ministry of Health, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, we aim to drive meaningful social and behavior change initiatives that will improve health outcomes for all Kenyan citizens.

Key Objectives

The primary goal of Call for Change is to catalyze positive change in healthcare by addressing key social and behavior change challenges. Through targeted interventions and innovative approaches, we seek to:

1. Raise Awareness: Increase public awareness and understanding of critical healthcare issues, such as maternal and child health, infectious diseases, and preventive measures.
2. Promote Healthy Behaviors: Encourage the adoption of healthy behaviors and practices at the individual, family, and community levels, leading to improved health outcomes and reduced disease burden.
3. Strengthen Healthcare Systems: Support the Ministry of Health in strengthening healthcare systems and infrastructure to ensure equitable access to quality healthcare services for all Kenyan citizens.
4. Empower Communities: Empower communities to take ownership of their health and well-being through education, advocacy, and community-led initiatives.
