About Us

Pendeza Community is a women-led non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of underserved communities through social sector services. With over four decades of experience, Pendeza Community operates in various counties in Kenya, including Kisumu, Siaya, and Homabay. The organization focuses on empowering communities by addressing mental health challenges and promoting emotional intelligence to unlock individual potential.

Pendeza Community was founded with the goal of creating a society where every individual, regardless of gender or age, can thrive. We believe in fostering self-reliance and gender equality through community involvement and innovative approaches. Our core values are compassion, collaboration, and empowerment.

Through our Project Elixir initiative, John from Mowlem in Kisumu County received the support he needed to overcome mental health challenges and medication default, transforming his life and inspiring his community.

Hope Restored

Owino (not his real name), from Kisumu County, stopped HIV medication due to disability and abandonment, experiencing medication fatigue and mental health struggles. With Project Elixir, he received treatment and mental health care, rebuilding his life. Today, he inspires his community, highlighting the importance of seeking help amidst medication fatigue.
